(ATLANTIC) The Atlantic School Board approved Registration Fees for 2012-2013 at their meeting Wednesday night.
Atlantic Superintendent Dr. Michael Amstein says the fees pretty much stayed the same, but they have gone up a bit at the High School.
“Taking a look at some of the band fees and then also some of the fees for vocal music; didn’t go up a huge amount, but the fees were affected in that area,” explained Amstien. “School insurance is pretty much the same amount that it has been in previous years; there has not been a premium increase. And then in previous action several months ago, the Board approved the breakfast and lunch prices and in the past those had been a little bit lower than other localities and because of federal and state requirements we were asked to go ahead and increase our lunch prices.”
In other activity, the School Board approved a 4% pay increase for Administrators and Supervisors and a 4.6% pay increase for the Central Office Staff for 2012-2013.
The Board also approved the PPEL transfer for bus lease payments. Amstein said the amount needed this year for the bus leases, coming out of Capital Projects, was $47,551.32.
And, the Board approved a fuel bid from Olsen’s for diesel in the amount of $2.89 per gallon and bid for propane in the amount of $1.13 per gallon.
