(Council Bluffs) Two people were hurt in a car/motorcycle accident in Council Bluffs Wednesday night. Council Bluffs police say it happened at around 9:47 p.m.
Twenty-Three-year-old Joshua Ourada was attempting a left hand turn onto MidAmerican Drive in front of a southbound 2006 Suzuki motorcycle driven by 39-year-old Jeremy McCollum. McCollum and his passenger 26-year-old Kristine Freeman were both ejected from the motorcycle. Freeman sustained life-threatening injuries in the accident. McCollum received non-life threatening injuries. Both were transported by the Council Bluffs Fire Department to Creighton University Hospital in Omaha. Ourada was not hurt.
Police do not believe speed or alcohol were factors in the crash, and it appears neither McCollum nor Freeman were wearing helmets.
Citations are pending upon completion of the investigation.
