(Council Bluffs) Two men from Council Bluffs remain in the Polk County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine and conspiracy to deliver.
Polk County SGT. Jana Rooker says the Mid-Iowa Task Force said 30-year-old Chandler Robbins and 34-year-old Allen Sutton, both of Council Bluffs were arrested at 2:30 Saturday morning after a routine traffic stop on Interstate 80.
“One of the subjects had a warrant and gave The Mid-Iowa Task Force permission to search the vehicle, stated Rooker. “They found some guns and a white substance in several plastic bags.”
Rooker said the Mid-Iowa Task Force was called to field test the substance. It was positive for methamphetamine. There were three guns also found in the car. Both Robbins and Sutton were taken into custody. The amount of Schedule II narcotics obtained has not been released.
Both men are being held on $100,000 bond.
