(Griswold) The Griswold School Board has reached a settlement with the Non-Certified staff. During Monday night’s special meeting the School Board approved a 4-percent salary increase which amounts to .52-cents an hour raise.
In other business, the school board made a final approval on the Parking Lot project which included walkways out to the football and track stands.
“We just have gravel pads out there now and the board thought it was time to do something more substantial and more ADA compliant for that area,” stated Griswold Schools Superintendent Dana Kunze. He added that it also included some adjustments to the plan for the path that is currently out there.
Kunze said the board also approved the lighting Design at the parking lot. “The board had a number of ideas as far as adjustments and changes. They wanted to keep light poles out of the parking area if at all possible for simpler navigation for vehicles and snow removal.”
Kunze says the project estimated has come in to cost just north of $1.5 Million dollars. The Bids are due June 15, and the contract will be awarded the following week.
