(Southwest, Iowa) The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship released a statement Friday saying two southwest Iowa bulls will be quarantined after they tested positive for a venereal disease.
Officials say the two cases are the first in Iowa and it can spread to cows and cause infertility.
The location of the bulls was not released and Officials recommend that cow/calf producers have their bulls tested for the disease before they are purchased, or that they purchase virgin bulls.
