(Red Oak) Montgomery County authorities are looking for the driver of a vehicle that fled the scene of a hit-and-run accident in Red Oak Sunday evening.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says it happened at around 9:20 Sunday night. A 2006 Chevy pickup owned by the city of Red Oak Fire Department and driven by 24-year-old Rudee Phillip Demarce was northbound on Broadway and was turning right into the entrance of Legion Park when a dark colored Sedan struck the right side of the pickup, jumped the curve ran over a sign and drove off at a high rate of speed. Demarce was not hurt in the accident.
Authorities later found the damaged Sedan abandoned and sitting on the side of the road.
