(Clarinda) The former Clarinda Booster Club Treasurer has pleaded guilty to two counts of theft.
According to the Omaha World Herald, Cynthia Gerdts entered her plea Monday afternoon in Page County Court. She admitted to stealing more than $25,000 to support a gambling addiction.
Gerdts was fined more than $1,600 and ordered to pay almost $26,000 in restitution to the club. She was placed on probation and ordered to complete a Gamblers Anonymous program.
The court suspended a two year prison sentence.
