(MILLS CO) The Mills County Long Term Recovery Committee is offering a funding opportunity for those Mills County residents most affected by the recent floods. If you have applied for FEMA assistance but still have unmet financial needs caused by the flood that are not covered by FEMA, SBA or other personal resources, the Committee encourages you to apply.
Limited funding is available through donations received from the Community Foundation and Mills County. These funds are not sufficient to meet all needs, so an application process will be used. Assistance to individuals will be provided in order of priority and will be based on qualifying factors and availability of funds. Applications have been mailed to addresses in the flood zone and are available by contacting Mills County Public Health at 527-9699.
Applications must be received at Mills County Public Health by Friday, February 10, 2012 to be considered for reimbursement. The Committee would like to disperse funds as soon as possible and will be determining awards by 3/1/12. For additional information or to obtain an application, please contact Mills County Public Health at 712-527-9699.
