(Atlantic) The Cass County Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees has been given plenty of notice to start the process of hiring a new Administrator and Chief Executor. Pat Markham, current CEO has begun conversation with Board of Trustee Chairman Steve Sisler about her plans to possibly retire in two-years.
“We are very lucky to have a two-year notice from Pat,” Stated Sisler. “Pat and I have been talking about retirement and she was graciously enough to let us know that possibly in the next two-years she would like to retire.”
Steve Sisler says at this point, the hospital board of trustees is putting together what they call a succession plan to fill the CEO position.
“One of the ideas would be to hire from within,” said Sisler. “We probably have suitable candidates that would be placed in a mentoring role so when the time comes that the CEO wants to retire it will be a seamless transition.”
Pat Markham has been with Cass County Health Systems for 27-years.
