(Des Moines) It’s going to cost you double the money to play power ball from now on.
The tickets rose to $2.00 a piece on Saturday.
Iowa Lottery Officials say they upped the anti to attract more people to play because of bigger jackpots and better odds of winning.
The change is a part of a plan to distinguish the game from Mega Millions, another multi-state lottery game that sells for $1.00 a ticket. Both games are sold in 42-states,U.S. Virgin Islands and Washington D. C. They each have drawing twice a week on different days.
