(Griswold) In the past the Griswold School Board has been made up of seven members, each in their own geographical district. That may change…Griswold Schools Superintendent Dana Kunze say the board is now discussing four districts consisting of four-geographical members and three at-large members.
“The biggest change would be that every time there is school board election school patrons will need to go to their polling places, because they will be electing someone, whether it be a geographical candidate or an at-large candidate,” said Kunze adding the main goal is to recruit more people to run. “When it is restricted to small geographical areas it can be hard to find a candidate.”
The redistricting is on the Griswold School Board’s January 16th agenda. That meeting starts at 5:30, at the Middle/High School Building.
