(Audubon) The Audubon City Council will discuss parking, library budget and Compensation practices at their meeting tonight.
As reported by (KSOM/KS95) news in December, Councilman John Wetzel discussed concerns about vehicles parked in yards in various parts of the city. He presented several pictures of the vehicles that were parked in front and back yards at several residents. He asked the council to consider an ordinance that would keep the vehicles off the yards.
In other business tonight, the city council will discuss Compensation practices. In December, the Audubon City Council by a 3-2 vote agreed to give all city employees a three-percent raise. The three council members voting for the increase were Dwight Borkowski, Teresa Murray and Andy Griffith. The three council members against the raise were Robert Jacobsen and John Wetzel. Both councilmen wanted to wait until they found out what the city’s health insurance costs were going to be. The raise will go into effect July 1, 2012.
The meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. tonight at the Audubon City Hall.
