(OAKLAND) An Oakland man was arrested after leading authorities on a chase through rural Pottawattamie County Tuesday.
The Sheriff’s Office says at around 10:06 p.m. a Deputy was running radar in the area of 370th Street and Highway 6. The Deputy observed an eastbound vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. Radar confirmed that the vehicle was traveling 91 miles per hour. A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle, a 1997 Lincoln, which was occupied by two male subjects. As the Deputy made his approach on the vehicle, the driver took off. A pursuit ensued that lead throughout rural Pottawattamie County. After mechanical issues, the vehicle entered the ditch and came to rest near the intersection of Highway 92 and 500th Street.
The driver, 25-year-old Gary Graham, of Oakland, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Eluding. The passenger was taken into custody and later released.
