(Des Moines) The National Weather Service in Des Moines says record record fell in parts of Iowa over the weekend followed by snow.
Des Moines set a record for rainfall on Saturday with 1.38 inches of rain, and Lamoni topped the state with 1.71 inches. We recorded just over one inch of rain at the studio's.
Snow amounts across the state varied with the dividing line starting in the Omaha Metro area reporting 6.5 inches of snow, Audubon and Carroll reported 4-6 inches.We received about an inch at the studios.
The forecast is calling for dry weather through Wednesday. After that there is a 20-percent chance of snow on on Thursday.
