(Villisca) The Villisca and Stanton School Boards met in joint session Wednesday night to discuss the futrue sharing options. Corning/Villisca Superintendent Willie Stone says the Villisca School Board unveiled their proposal to Stanton first.
"The Villisca School Board stated they would like to have the high school in Villisca and send the 6-through-8 grade to Stanton," stated Stone. "Their reasoning is that currently Villisca has the facilities that will hold the high school, and they feel Stanton would have to make some changes to get that."
Stanton's proposal is for the high school students to be housed in Stanton and the Junior High in Villisca. The Villisca School Board would like a response from the Stanton School Board by noon on December 7.
