(Audubon) A resolution for the West Central TIF project was approved by the Audubon County Supervisor’s.
Audubon County Supervisor’s Chairman Todd Nelson says the resolution was approved at their meeting Monday morning.
“The title of it is resolution to determine the necessity of establishing urban renewal and plan for the Hamlin West Central urban rene4wal area.”
Nelson says an urban renewal area has to be defined and it has to go before the zoning board to make sure that it fits with what the zoning intention was laid out to do when it was zoned.
“We have to go through a consultation meeting with the effected taxing entities and we have to have a public hearing. It’s all part of the process to end up with a TIF area that we’ve agreed to do with West Central.”
Nelson adds that the Supervisors are working with Region XII to set up all the meetings and get the ball rolling.
