(ATLANTIC) The Antlerless Deer Season begins Friday and runs through Sunday.
“This allows hunters to make use of those antlerless tags, all those antlerless tags are on a quota depending on which county you are in,” said Brian Hayes, with the DNR Office in Lewis. “Party hunting is allowed, all hunters must wear blaze orange just like any of our other gun seasons, and hunting hours are one half hour before sunrise to one half hour after sunset.”
Hayes says hunters are required to report to the harvest reporting system any deer that they take. The antlerless deer season is open in 42 counties with leftover antlerless tags.
Brian Hayes will appear on the DNR report on 96.5 FM, KSOM on Saturday morning around 7:30.
