(Stuart) Business and individuals who are members of the Midwest Partnership Development Corporation are encouraged to nominate individuals for the Guy Powell Award.
Guy Powell, past president of Midwest Partnership Development Corporation was an active volunteer on the board of many other organizations, and was passionate about local and regional economic development. So three years ago, this award was named after him. Sarah Gomez, is the economic Coordinator for Midwest Partnership EDC.
“The Guy Powell Award recognizes excellence, leadership and passion for economic development in the Midwest Partnership Development Region,” stated Sarah Gomez Economic Coordinator for Midwest Partnership EDC.
Gomez says members of Midwest Partnership Development Corporation are encouraged to nominate individuals who stand out as outstanding leaders in this area of west central Iowa, and who work to make it more economically vital place to live. “Anyone, in this region that has showed a leadership role in the community in recognizing economic development,” said Gomez.
