(HARLAN) The fire danger rating in Shelby County through Monday has been moved to Moderate.
Shelby County Emergency Management says the recent moisture has provided some reduction to the risks associated with outdoor burning. Light winds and sunshine will quickly dry out the ground, again, in the next few days. A good time to burn is in the early morning, while the ground has some overnight moisture, from frost or dew, which would make small controlled burns easier to control.
If you have any questions about your burn, or would like assistance with a large burn, please contact your Fire Chief.
