(HARLAN) The Fire Danger Rating in Shelby County has been set at High.
Bob Seivert, Shelby County Emergency Management Coordinator, says Shelby County has received less than ¼ inch of moisture since Monday and with the forecast calling for sunshine and winds today between 15 and 20 miles per hour, drying condition will prevail and the danger for fire continues to be high.
Shelby County is currently NOT in a burn ban. Controlled burns should be reported by calling 755-2124. You will also be instructed to notify your local Fire Chief.
