(HARLAN) A Harlan man was sentenced in Shelby County District Court on two counts of 2nd Degree Theft.
Twenty-one year old Cody Lister was sentenced to a term not to exceed five years on each count with the sentences to run concurrent. He was given credit for times served. The sentences were suspended and Lister was placed on supervised probation to the Department of Correctional Services for two years. He was also ordered to pay court costs and attorney fees. Three other charges were dismissed at the defendant’s costs.
On June 27th, Lister turned himself in to Police in connection with the theft of a vehicle belonging to Brion Barrett of Shelby and a burglary at a residence of Marion Hendricks.
