(ATLANTIC) The public is invited to the Nishna Valley Trails Association meeting tonight.
Ed Kail, with the Nishna Valley Trails Association, says they will receive several updates on the development of trails in the Atlantic area.
“The meeting tonight will include a report from Micah Lee with the Cass County Conservation Board on projects they have pending that our Trails organization may be able to support with volunteer effort,” said Kail. “We’ll also hear from Michelle Walker who is the Director of the Western Iowa Tourism Council. She will be talking about ways that bike trails and recreational trails in the area could merge with the tourism agenda here in the county and around the region as well.”
Kail said they will also receive updates on the work going on behind the scenes on the negotiations with the railroad and the work on the trail from the Schildberg Recreation area over to the ball fields.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on East 14th Street in Atlantic.
