(Atlantic) The Cass County Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees will hold a public meeting Tuesday, August 23, to decide the future of the Behavioral Health Unit.
The board has discussed the possible closure of the BHU because of lost in revenue. In 2010 the unit cost the hospital $500,000.
However, Cass County Supervisor’s Chuck Rieken stated at a recent board meeting that the Behavioral Unit is a very important part of the community.
“The Cass County Board of Supervisor’s position is that we believe the Cass County Memorial Hospital’s Behavioral Unit is an indispensible part of the community.”
The meeting is scheduled for 8:00 a.m. Tuesday in Conference Room #1 at CCMH.
