(CORNING) The first day of school for Corning High School students will be delayed one day.
Superintendent Willie Stone says due to the High School building construction, High School classes will not be held at the Corning Community School District.
“The reason why is the Fire Marshal and building inspector were not able to clear us today, they will have to clear us tomorrow,” said Stone. “They’ll be here at 10:00 in the morning; we fully expect that to happen tomorrow morning. If not we will inform you again.”
Elementary and Jr. High classes will still be held at regular time, however students will dismiss at 1:00.
