PARENTS OR GUARDIANS SHOULD CHECK THEIR CHILDS IMMUNIZATION RECORDS
(Atlantic) School begins next week for many area students and now is the time for parents or guardians to check your child’s immunization records.
“It is really critical that parents take this opportunity annually to see what immunizations their kids might need,” stated Cass County Health Systems Coordinator Denise Coder. “Every year we get new recommendations for the various ages of children and you should not assume just because your child entered school up-to-date that they will remain up-to-date throughout their school years.”
Coder says for parents whose children do not have insurance coverage the “vaccination for children program” available free of charge.
Cass County Health Systems will be offering influenza vaccination’s during school hours once again this year. “Consent forms will be sent home with their children sometime in September. The vaccination program is slated to start in October,” said Coder.
