Fire Destroys Storage Building in Red Oak

(Red Oak) An early morning fire destroyed a storage building in Red Oak.

The Red Oak Fire Department responded at 3:31 a.m. Saturday at 108 N. 2nd Street. Fire Chief John Bruce tells KSOM/KS95 News when firefighters arrived; flames were shooting through the roof. Firefighters brought the fire under control in about 45-minutes. The firemen were at the scene until 5:35 a.m. Bruce reported no injuries.

Growth Unlimited owns the property. The structure is considered a total loss.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery County Emergency Management, Mid-American Energy Utilities, Mediacom, Red Oak Police Department and the Red Oak Public Works Department assisted the Firemen at the scene.
